This is Nika Watters, and it's so great that you came to visit my website!

I had this incredible idea about dragons and other mythical creatures when I saw that my mom's archaeological dig in southern Germany had a dinosaur fossil in it! You can read all about it, and also about this secret place my friend and I found at the German inn where I was staying that summer, in the book "Nika Watters in The Case of the Misplaced Fossil." Get it at the library, or buy it by clicking the Buy the Book link on the left.

I've collected some great stories and pictures for you on the Fun Stuff page. Read dragon stories from around the world, get more information about "ancient fossil hunters," look at pictures of dragons and fossils, and check out the great artwork created by kids just like you!

If you want to read articles and reviews about my book, go to Nika in the News. Find out more about Ullie Emigh by clicking About the Author.

You can look at the answers to frequently asked questions and download free bookmarks by clicking FAQ & Bookmarks.

Visit the same museums Nika visits in the book, plus many other museums and interesting sites, including Adrienne Mayor's book, from the Links page.

There is a free teacher's guide for the book and lots of other useful information on the page For Parents, Teachers, Librarians.

I'd love to hear from you! Please write to tell me what you think about my book, my website, or fossils as mythical monsters! Also, send me your questions! I will write back and maybe even post your question on this site! Click Contact Nika to send me an e-mail.
